Apple WWDC 2023 Dates Confirmed: Mixed Reality Headset, iOS 17 and More Expected
The dates for Apple WWDC 2023 have been confirmed for June this year, and the invite teaser suggests that the much-anticipated mixed reality headset will be unveiled in some form in front of the world.
WWDC 2023 is scheduled to be held on June 5th and will last until June 9th. The company has also said that WWDC 2023 will be an online event that will offer students and developers a special experience at Apple Park on the opening day of the conference.
“WWDC23, free for all developers, will showcase the latest developments in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS,” the company said in this post. The keynote is the main event aimed at the public, as Apple CEO Tim Cook guides us through the company’s new product developments and also introduces the new software versions of various Apple products.
But it’s hard to deny that the event teaser clearly hints that we might be seeing more than just software updates. Headsets using mixed reality have become a big project for Apple, and despite several obstacles, the company wants to move forward in this segment and make the industry sit up and watch.
Earlier this week it was reported that Apple has had employee doubts about the functionality of the headphones, but Cook and Co. continue with their plans despite these concerns. Developers will have access to Apple engineers during WWDC 2023 both online and offline.
Apple also explains that the personal event experience is limited to only a few people and walks them through the steps involved in applying for an event. iOS 17 is another big draw at this year’s WWDC keynote, as iPhone users expect to see the new features their devices will receive later this year. It’s unlikely, but we could also have some hardware showcases, which could be in the form of Macs or even AirPods. We finally have the dates for WWDC 2023 and so the countdown begins.
